Tak-Sing Wong is an assistant professor in mechanical and nuclear engineering at The Pennsylvania State University. His research focuses on designing multi-functional biologically inspired surfaces with applications in materials, energy, and health. His work on bio-inspired surfaces has been recognized with a R&D 100 Award, a National Science Foundation CAREER Award and a Young Faculty Award from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. He has also been an invited participant in the National Academy of Engineering’s Frontiers of Engineering symposium. He received a bachelor's degree in automation and computer-aided engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his postdoctoral research at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University.
