2014 Innovator Under 35

Jinha Lee is an interface designer exploring ways to harness humans’ kinaesthetic and sensory skills to interact with digital data. These days, he is working on next-generation interfaces as head of the Interactive Visualization Lab at Samsung Electronics in lieu of his national military duty. He is on leave from his Ph.D. studies at MIT Media Lab. At 2013 TED conference, he presented his inventions including 3D desktop where a user can “reach inside” the screen and a physical pixel that levitates and moves freely in three dimension.  Previously, Jinha cofounded Eone, a tactile watch brand for “everyone,” including the visually impaired, and received his M.S. from MIT Media Lab and B.E. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Tokyo.
