Jennifer Lewis recently joined the faculty of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University. An innovative pioneer in 3-D printing, she leads a vibrant research group that creates new materials and printing platforms that integrate form and function. Her work, which has resulted in eight patents and 125 papers, includes the first demonstration of 3-D printed antennas, rechargeable lithium ion microbatteries, stretchable sensors and vascularized tissue constructs. She recently co-founded two companies to commercialize these technologies.
