Solve for X is a community of people working to accelerate progress on technology "moonshots" — radical ideas for solving global problems. These ideas are radical in the sense that the resulting solutions could help millions (or billions) of people, their sheer audacity makes them sound like science fiction, and these ideas reflect some real breakthrough or new approach that makes us believe they could be brought to life. We meet in person and online.
We'll be running a special interactive Solve for X workshop at this year’s EmTech MIT. After hearing short proposals from three technology pioneers, our audience will break into small groups for brainstorming. They'll spend about two-thirds of their time generating feedback (for example, ideas for overcoming known hurdles), and the remaining time offering constructive critiques (for example, identifying remaining questions and potential blind spots). Then we'll all gather to report back.
